In a bid to create awareness among the masses for plantation and environment, a city-based NGO had recently organized a cultural evening at the Bhanjakala Mandap. Eminent personalities like Bollywood actor

Neetu Singh and Ipsita Mohanty, Sahadev Sahoo (former chief secretary to the Odisha Govt) and music director Swaroop Nayak were honoured at the function.
While Dhillon was awarded with the Green Queen award, Sabyasachi was named as the Green Prince. Other awardees received the Green Friend trophies.
Apart from that, people from Odisha, who have made remarkable contributions towards tree plantation and environment, were also felicitated at the ceremony.
“I’m really honoured to get this award. But, it’s more like a responsibility than an award. Considering the scorching heat in the city that’s really making life difficult for us, it’s time that we all take initiatives and plant more trees to change things,” said Sabyasachi.
The evening concluded with a cultural function by the children spreading the cause of green awareness.
